{"id":3414,"date":"2010-06-17T22:47:31","date_gmt":"2010-06-18T02:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.libology.com\/blog\/?p=3414"},"modified":"2010-06-17T22:48:34","modified_gmt":"2010-06-18T02:48:34","slug":"upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.libology.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/17\/upgrade.html","title":{"rendered":"Upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Libology has upgraded to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Version_3.0\">WordPress 3.0<\/a><\/strong>, which is a significant jump ahead in standards and features.\u00a0 One of the most interesting, for me, will be support for HTML 5.<\/p>\n<p>I have also switched to the <a href=\"http:\/\/2010dev.wordpress.com\/\">Twenty-Ten theme<\/a>, as it is one of the best WordPress themes I have seen in a while.\u00a0 It is clean, meets standards, and is meant to be the foundation for building on the new features and support in the software.<\/p>\n<p>I may have to play with some of the widget code, as the blog is no longer <a href=\"http:\/\/validator.w3.org\/check?verbose=1&amp;uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.libology.com%2Fblog%2F\">standards<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/jigsaw.w3.org\/css-validator\/validator?profile=css21&amp;warning=0&amp;uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.libology.com%2Fblog%2F\">compliant<\/a>.\u00a0 I suspect that this is mostly due to widgets, and that I need to find updates or update them myself (the joy of open source is that you can fix it yourself!)<\/p>\n<p>The header image is my own, taken tonight when I realized that I should put something original into that space.\u00a0 Nothing like a few books in a library blog, eh?<\/p>\n<p>Bear with me in the near future, as I begin to see what can be done in this space.\u00a0 And, as it turns out, what cannot be done&#8230; as the Tagaroo Tags won&#8217;t work correctly for this post.\u00a0 It might be a fun few weeks&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Libology has upgraded to WordPress 3.0, which is a significant jump ahead in standards and features.\u00a0 One of the most interesting, for me, will be support for HTML 5.
