{"id":2722,"date":"2009-02-10T14:49:05","date_gmt":"2009-02-10T19:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.libology.com\/blog\/?p=2722"},"modified":"2010-07-08T14:05:23","modified_gmt":"2010-07-08T18:05:23","slug":"genogram-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.libology.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/10\/genogram-software.html","title":{"rendered":"Genogram Software"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Had to do some research on free <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Genogram\"><strong>Genogram<\/strong><\/a> software, and thought I&#8217;d share a couple of programs here.<\/p>\n<p>Genograms are essentially family trees with metadata about relationships between people.\u00a0 The software does a great job with making family trees, and the metadata can be whatever one wishes to add to it.<\/p>\n<p>For a Windows-only software program that is free and transferable (but not open source), I recommend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wingeno.org\/\"><strong>WinGeno<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An online Java-based program that does a good job is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.progenygenetics.com\/students\/\"><strong>Progeny&#8217;s Pedigree Chart Tool<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Had to do some research on free Genogram software, and thought I&#8217;d share a couple of programs here.
