And now the announcement I alluded to a couple of weeks ago…<\/p>\n

Libology.com<\/a><\/strong> is a new web site that I have begun work on.\u00a0\u00a0 The focus of the site is described by its tag line : “Tools and Ideas for Libraries”.\u00a0 Basically, it will be a showcase for various library technologies, as well as a “sandbox” for me to try out technology that I think would apply well to libraries.\u00a0 I have a couple of other ideas for the site, but we will see once I get those elements fleshed out.<\/p>\n

The site is pretty bare, with only the main page in place.\u00a0 However, the first piece of technology has been installed and is running:\u00a0 Scriblio<\/a>, a library Online Public Access Catalog (OPACO) built on the\u00a0 WordPress<\/a> platform(the blogging software that runs this blog, among many others).\u00a0 More on that in the next post….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
