{"id":1922,"date":"2006-12-02T15:16:52","date_gmt":"2006-12-02T20:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.librarysupportstaff.org\/?p=167"},"modified":"2006-12-02T15:16:52","modified_gmt":"2006-12-02T20:16:52","slug":"library-student-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.libology.com\/blog\/2006\/12\/02\/library-student-journal.html","title":{"rendered":"Library Student Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is a new publication out there in libraryland, and it is peer-reviewed and open-access (two of my favorite hyphens)!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/informatics.buffalo.edu\/org\/lsj\/\">Library Student Journal<\/a> is being published by the <a href=\"http:\/\/informatics.buffalo.edu\/\">School of Informatics<\/a> at the University of Buffalo in New York, and they describe their scope as:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Library Student Journal (<acronym title=\"Library Student Journal\">LSJ<\/acronym>) seeks to publish the best student papers from Library and Information Science (<acronym title=\"Library and Information Science\">LIS<\/acronym>) students worldwide and to serve as a forum for discussion of <acronym title=\"Library and Information Science\">LIS<\/acronym> education and training, career paths and future trends. Submissions may cover a wide range of topics, but should always relate to and advance the discussion of <acronym title=\"Library and Information Science\">LIS<\/acronym> topics. This is a rapidly evolving field. As such, <acronym title=\"Library Student Journal\">LSJ<\/acronym> especially encourages submissions relating to new technologies and future trends.
